So what is Foresight/Futures Thinking?

Foresight is not about predicting the future! The practice of strategic foresight is more about challenging the present business as usual, revealing alternative futures and thus raising the organisations ability to make decisions and ultimately shape the future. There is the potential to move from a risk mindset to an opportunity mindset. The process of becoming aware of one’s own thinking and worldviews are important steps along the journey of navigating transformational change and creating your organisations preferred future state.
